Lunch Walk

Today's lunchwalk was through the historic neighborhood of South Park, just South of the ballpark.

There is a fine French restaurant called The Butler and The Chef here. If you're in the City and you want to do that French-thing for lunch (Michele) give me a call.

Also, Black Market Music has moved back from Los Angeles and now inhabits a small shop space on the edge of South Park. That was a pleasant surprise. I shopped there A LOT back in the day. Stopped in and played the DX-7s they had set up.

This post is for David Layne:
Yes, dude, I am practicing, see?
I will be ready for rehearsals this Fall.

In the interest of mercy, I need another few months to get my tone back, but it's coming along.

For all you outsiders to this project, the website is coming sometime in September!

*Thanks, Werner, for taking the pictures!

I received this picture this morning from my friend and colleague, Jon Chu, whose been working in Utah the last few years. Good news is that Jon, his wife Paula, and little Thomas (who'll be a whopping 3 years old on May 8th, are considering a move back to California and are looking at the Crescent City area. It'll be nice to have them as neighbors.

So if anyone in the area wants to hire an exceptional computer and network engineer, grab Jon as soon as he gets here!

Jasmyne participated in a panel discussion on identity at Stanford University last night. It was a pretty lively discussion and there was a lot of audience involvement.

A good time was had by all!

She had to fly back home the same evening so we didn't get to hang out very much. Maybe next time. By the way, she's producing a new show, Don't Go. I believe they're shopping the pilot right now.
*Thanks for loaning me the camera, Werner!

Notice to All Jasmyne Fans!

Fire up that Tivo! Eldest daughter Jasmyne will be interviewed on NBC's Dateline this Sunday regarding the "Don Imus Incident".

Jasmyne reports that her phone's been ringing off the hook for interviews on this subject ever since it happened. Great that people want to know what she thinks but I'm unsure as to how my daughter became the spokesperson for the "nappy-headed ho" lobby. Hmmm...

Also, Jasmyne will be speaking Tuesday, April 17th at Stanford University at 6pm. If you're in the area, please come. If you're not, there are three very nice airports into the Bay Area.

My friend and fellow engineer, Werner, shaved his head this week and sent me a picture.

Remember Marlon Brando in Apocalypse Now?

The Horror! The Horror!
